On October 15, David Bogart will join the staff at Marvel Comics as a Managing Editor.  Maureen McTigue will assume Bogart's position as Editor-in-Chief of Harris Comics.  Bogart, a savvy industry veteran, will assist Editor-in-Chief Joe Quesada and Bob Greenberger in running Marvel's expanding line of comics.  After a period of retrenchment, which saw the number of Marvel titles fall to a record low, the company has been slowly adding books to its list.  The addition of the 'mature readers' Marvel Max line, a major increase in the number of Marvel trade paperbacks, and the much talked about creation of a group of 'kids comics,' should provide plenty of editorial fodder for the Marvel troika to oversee.

Meanwhile Maureen McTigue will take over as the Editor-in-Chief of Harris Comics.  After stints with Starlog and Comics Scene, McTigue spent six years at DC Comics working in both marketing and editorial.  She edited Wonder Woman and Secret Files among other titles before taking over as Online Editor for the Wizardworld.com website last year.
