One of the more interesting tidbits to come out of the New York Comic-Con was the announcement of a Batman/Spawn crossover comic and statue.  Both products will be joint ventures -- Todd McFarlane and Greg Capullo will handle the creative side of the Batman/Spawn comic with DC's Dan Didio editing, while McFarlane Toys will work with DC Direct to produce the accompanying statuary, which is scheduled for release at the same time as the comic (some time during the next 12-16 months).

It's not as if these two nocturnal superheroes are exactly strangers.  Back in 1994 McFarlane collaborated with Frank Miller on a 56-page Spawn/Batman book published by Image, and in 2000 Chuck Dixon and Doug Monech collaborated on a 48-page Batman/Spawn saga published by DC Comics.
