Duncan Rouleau's graphic novel, The Nightmarist, ships to retail this week, but like numerous high concept comic projects, the property has already been optioned by Paramount, and the studio has already commissioned (and received) a first draft screenplay.   Active Images is publishing The Nightmarist graphic novel ($14.99), a 180-page black-and-white saga of paranoia and haunted reveries, and the publisher has just unveiled a Website dedicated to Rouleau's mesmerizing tale of 'dream invasion.'

Rouleau, who is both the writer and the artist on The Nightmarist, is a member of the Man of Action group that also includes Joe Casey, Steven T. Seagle, and Joe Kelly.  MOA is responsible for the Ben 10 cartoon series airing on the Cartoon Network (see 'Bandai's Animation-Driven Toy Lines') as well as numerous comic book projects and the X-Men Legends video game.
