Movie rights to Just a Pilgrim, the Black Bull comic by Garth Ennis, have been acquired by Catch 23 Entertainment. The first comic series debuted in March 2001, and has now been collected into a trade paperback (see 'Top 25 Graphic Novels -- November 2001'). A second series, Just a Pilgrim: Garden of Eden, launches March 2002. Marc Danon, VP-production and acquisitions, was the Catch 23 executive responsible for acquiring Just a Pilgrim. Danon previously oversaw the development of Marvel properties at Artisan (Iron Fist will probably be the first of the Artisan Marvel movies to be released). Catch 23 is a new company; its first feature film will be One Hour Photo, starring Robin Williams and due in 2002.
