According to Variety, the new Aquaman series from the producers of Smallville (see 'Ving Rhames Nets Aquaman Role') will not launch this fall as planned. The series was fairly far along, but with less airtime due to the WB/UPN merger (see 'WB Merges with UPN'), and all but three slots of the new CW network filled with returning shows, there was apparently no room for the DC superhero.
