Renaissance Press has selected Diamond Book Distributors as the exclusive U.S. and non-exclusive worldwide distributor of English language editions of its publications to the bookstore, library, and mass merchandise markets.  Renaissance Press is primarily known for its publication of Jimmy Gownley's Amelia Rules!, which has been nominated for three Eisner and two Harvey awards.  Gownley both writes and draws this funny, and often poignant saga of the nine-year-old Amelia Louise McBride, who has to adjust to life in a small town after her parents divorce and she has to move from Manhattan.

Diamond's press release announcing the pact with Renaissance Press used the term 'library-friendly' to describe the Amelia Rules! comics and the description is apt -- Gownley has managed in this series to come up with a modern, very relevant take on the traditional comic strip for kids, and his Amelia Rules! collections should be requisitioned and recommended by children's librarians across the county.

So far there are three Amelia Rules! graphic novels (collections) available: Amelia Rules!: The Whole World's Crazy, which collects issues 1-5 of the comic book series, Amelia Rules!: What Makes You Happy, which includes issues 6-10, and Amelia Rules!: Superheroes, which collects issues 11-16.
