Marvel has hired Simon Phillips as its new President of Marvel International, effective November 13th. Phillips replaces Bruno Maglione, who left with Marvel President of Worldwide Consumer Products Tim Rothwell to go to IMG.
Phillips will be responsible for increasing Marvel's international presence through licensing campaigns focusing on movie events and Marvel classic comic book characters.
Phillips has more than 15 years of international licensing experience, most recently as managing director of 4Kids Entertainment International.
