Activision's Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, a videogame that allows players to pick a dream team of Marvel heroes to do battle against Dr. Doom and the newly reformed Masters of Evil, took the top spot on the UBS Securities weekly list of the best-selling videogames in the U.S.

Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is available for a number of different game platforms and versions will be available for Sony's PlayStation 3 and Nintendo's Wii, when those two new platforms debut next month, which means that Activision's new Marvel game is likely to end up as one of the top sellers of Q4.
