Blue Line Pro, the company that manufactures blue line pages for comic artists and also publishes Sketch, a 'how-to' magazine for comic artists, is set to publish Comics Continuum, a 64-page quarterly magazine based on the comic news website maintained by veteran comics journalist Rob Allstetter.  Allstetter, who is the Deputy Sports Editor of the Detroit News, has been involved in comics journalism since 1992 and has written for Comics Buyer's Guide, Wizard, and COMBO, as well as serving as Marvel Online's ShowBiz columnist.   The first issue of the Comics Continuum Magazine will arrive in comic stores on May 1, 2002.

The Comics Continuum Magazine will focus on comics and their influence other media, with special emphasis on comics-based movies, television series, and animation.  The first issue of the magazine will spotlight the Spider-Man Movie (which arrives in theaters just a day after the first issue of Comics Continuum hits the street).  Comics Continuum editor Rob Allstetter promises 'some pretty cool exclusives' based on the new Spidey film.  Announcements concerning the nature of these exclusives will be forthcoming during the next few weeks.

Bob Hickey, Blue Line Pro's Creative Director, said that the decision to move forward with the Comics Continuum Magazine was based on the success that Blue Line has had with Sketch, the current revival in interest in comic books, and the increasing importance of comic-based material in film, TV, and animation.
