BCI Eclipse, a division of the Navarre Corporation, has announced the March 27th release of the New Adventures of He-Man Volume Two, a six-DVD box set that will include the last 32 digitally remastered episodes from the first season of 1990's animated series.  The New Adventures of He-Man Volume Two (MSRP $49.98) is the second release in a two-volume set that includes all 65 episodes of popular animated series.  When the two New Adventures volumes are placed spine out with BCI's previously released box sets of He-Man and She-Ra cartoons, they form a unique 'spine art mural.' The New Adventures of He-Man Volume Two also contains a number of extras including two new documentaries, two new original art cards by Gene Ha and Matt Haley, plus 50 in-depth character profiles and an episode guide booklet.

 

A week later on April 3rd BCI plans on releasing Defenders of the Earth Volume Two (MSRP $34.98), a five-DVD set featuring the last 32 episodes of the 1986 animated series created by Marvel Productions.  Defenders of the Earth feature a trio of cartoon heroes from the King Features Syndicate including Flash Gordon, the Phantom, and Mandrake the Magician.  The set contains lots of extras including interviews, commentaries, a bonus feature and a bonus episode plus two Defenders of the Earth art cards (by Mike McKone and Stephen Sadowski) and an episode guide booklet filled with factoids and trivia.
