Corgi International Ltd. has entered into a master toy/collectible license agreement with Nintendo of America, Inc. that will last through to 2010 and will cover such popular Nintendo properties as Super Mario Bros., Donkey Kong, and the Legend of Zelda. The agreement assigns Corgi the rights to create action figures, play sets, FX electronic products, iconic game replicas, plush and vinyl figures and to market these toy items in territories outside of Asia.

The licensing agreement with Nintendo is just the latest in a series of such deals announced by Corgi, which has recently announced deals for creating licensed merchandise for Halo 3, Yellow Submarine, and Igor (see 'Corgi Gets Halo 3, Beatles'), and a Corgi spokesman told ICv2 that more agreements will be announced shortly.
