Mayfair Games has announced the August release of Patrician (MSRP $35), a medieval-themed board game for 2-5 players designed by Michael Schacht.  In Patrician players compete to build towers in cities all across Italy for Patrician families desirous of the prestige that erecting the tallest tower will bring.  Designed for players ages 10 and up, a typical Patrician game takes about 50 minutes to determine which player is the top 'master builder' in medieval Italy.

 

The deluxe Patrician box includes a double-sided game board, 149 wooden tower pieces, 55 building cards, and 20 prestige tokens.
