Last Night on Earth, the zombie board game from new company Flying Frog Productions, placed #3 on the ICv2 Top 10 Board, Card, and Family Games list in the upcoming ICv2 Guide to Games #49. Despite being in limited supply, it was on the top ten list of every hobby distributor interviewed for the issue. Perhaps the best description of the phenomenon came from one of those distributors, who observed, 'Zombies are the new pirates.' But no other zombie game has every placed that high on our list, so good packaging and game design must have also had something to do with sales on the title.
The first printing sold out quickly, and a second printing due this month.
Last Night on Earth is for two to six players 12 and up, and plays in 60 to 90 minutes.
An expansion is planned for the 'March/April/May timeframe,' according to the publisher, depending on production times.
