Dan Barnett of Walt's Cards in Baltimore, Maryland saw the news about tough times for Chinese manufacturers (see “China’s Toy Manufacturers Struggling”) and says perhaps quality issues are to blame:

China manufacturers are struggling.  This couldn't have anything to do with poisonous baby milk, toxic paint on children's toys, poisonous pet food, or product recalls so common they now have a section in the local paper devoted to them?

Perhaps U.S. retailers are also getting fed up with the excuses manufacturers are giving us for delayed products: "It''s tied up in customs;” "The boat's delayed;” or “There's a dock strike in Shanghai."

Manufacturing games in America provides jobs to Americans who in turn can play and buy those games from Americans.
