Reaper Miniatures and Paizo Publishing announced a deal today that will see Reaper produce a line of metal miniatures in support of Paizo’s Pathfinder RPG. The miniatures will appear on store shelves this fall, while the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook released this week, with several additional releases planned through early 2010 (see “’Pathfinder RPG’ Core Rulebook in August”, “’Pathfinder RPG’ Release Schedule”).
The miniatures will be cast in white-metal alloy and be available through standard hobby distribution channels.
“The Pathfinder Role-playing Game has set a new standard in roleplaying and gaming in our industry. We’re proud to be a part of such a groundbreaking endeavor,” said Reaper CEO Ed Pugh.
Billed as a spiritual successor to Dungeons & Dragons v3.5, Pathfinder is one of the most hotly anticipated RPG releases of the year. Over 50,000 PDF copies of the beta rules have been downloaded from Paizo’s web site since March 2008.
