Wizards of the Coast has announced the February release of Dungeon & Dragons Fortune Cards: Shadow Over Nentir Vale, the newest accessory for the Dungeons & Dragons Role-Playing Game. D&D Fortune Cards provide players with a new way to survive the challenges of any adventure by providing characters with in-game benefits and brief power-ups.

 

Specifically designed for use in home D&D RPG games and in WotC’s D&D Encounters in-store play program, the D&D Fortune Cards are themed so that players can build a deck suited to their specific style of play.

 

The cards will be available in 8-card booster packs with an MSRP of $3.99. The first release, Dungeons & Dragons Fortune Cards: Shadow Over Nentir Vale, is due out on February 8th. The Fortune Cards are available in differing levels of rarity. Players can collect them all or just use two or three packs to build a deck. Either way the new cards will provide players with new tactical options.
