In Undermining, two to five players take the role of rival miners, utilizing a Universal Mining Vehicle (UMVee) to drill for resources such as Iron, Oil, Gold and Diamonds on an alien world. Miners must take the resources back to their warehouse on the planet surface and fulfill contracts to earn Starbucks. Players use the funds acquired to upgrade their UMVEE with different permanent special abilities that will give them an advantage in future drilling expeditions.
Lasting between 45 and 60 minutes, Undermining is a highly interactive game where players' actions and competition for resources directly impact the actions of the other players. The game ends when most of the mining contracts have been filled and the winner being the player who has earned the most Starbucks.
With a two-sided game board, a random layout of resources to mine, UMVEE upgrades and bonuses, and even one-off bonuses that can be achieved by finding alien technology, two games are rarely the same.
Undermining includes a double-sided game board, 5 UMVee player boards, contract cards, star buck tiles, equipment tiles, alien tech cards, debris tiles, wooden battery cubes and 5 plastic UMVee player pieces.
