Gary Games, the publisher of the Ascension deck-building games Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer and Ascension: Revenge of the Fallen, has announced the first Planar Showdown organized play event at Pandemonium Books & Games in Cambridge, Massachusetts on Sunday, October 16th starting at noon.
Participants in the Planar Showdown events compete in Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer and Ascension: Revenge of the Fallen games and will have the opportunity to win the Grand Prize, an iPad 2. Second price is a $100 store credit, while third and fourth prizes are $50 store credits.
More Planar Showdown events will be announced later this year along with the opportunity for retailers to run their own Planar Showdown events in 2012.
