Mayfair Games will release its fourth expansion set for Martin Wallace’s railroad game Steam in March.  The Steam Map Expansion #4 will include two maps, featuring Poland and southern Africa, designed by Morgan Dontanville.

The Poland map is intended for two to four players, and focuses on the transition from broad to standard gauge rail lines in that country.  This expansion map is supported with two sets of rules:  one for two player games, the other for three or four player games.

The Southern Africa map features the rich mining areas of southeastern Africa.  This map is intended for games with three to six players, and has one set of additional rules.

Altogether, the Steam Map Expansion #4 includes four double-sided map panels, a new tile sheet that includes new tiles for Map Expansion #3, and new rules.  The suggested retail price will be $24.00.

Steam Map Expansion #3 included three maps, the western two-thirds of the United States (titled “Westward Ho!”) as well as Singapore on one map and Japan and Hokkaido on the other. For information on the other expansions, see "'Steam Map Expansion #2'," "'Steam Map Expansion #1'" and "'Steam Barons' in Late November."
