Fantasy Flight Games has announced the Q4, 2014 release of Forgotten Gods (MSRP $39.95), a heavily-illustrated, book-length supplement for FFG’s Second Edition of the Warhammer 40K-based RPG Dark Heresy. In Forgotten Gods, a cult has hired smugglers of the Faceless Tribe to bring them artifacts that will reawaken the "Forgotten Gods," who ruled the galaxy long before mankind even gained consciousness.
As devoted servants of the Emperor, players have to stomp out the heresy of the Forgotten Gods. Players have to travel to the hive-planet Desoleum aboard a Rogue Trader ship, find the cemetery world of Thaur. In addition to providing a thrilling adventure in which player/acolytes have to struggle against an ancient evil, players can use these new locations as a new homeworld for acolytes, providing more options for character creation.
The setting for Forgotten Gods is a dark and dangerous world that is brilliantly evoked by the full-length volume’s many illustrations by top fantasy illustrators.
