Beckett Entertainment Publications of Dallas, Texas has announced a September launch for its bimonthly Neopets: The Official Magazine.  Beckett, which publishes the best-selling Beckett Yu-Gi-Oh Collector and other popular anime and collectible magazines, has acquired the license to create a magazine based on the Neopets online entertainment network -- a wildly popular youth entertainment site that generates over two billion page views a month. 

 

Neopets: The Official Magazine will debut September 1, 2003 and cover every facet of the greatest virtual pet Web site in the world, with a major emphasis on the trading card game from Wizards of the Coast (see 'Wizards Announces Neopets CCG').  The new magazine will carry a cover prices of $9.99 and will enjoy wide distribution via a network of 165,000 retail locations including Barnes & Noble, Borders, Blockbuster, Target, Wal-Mart, Toys R Us, and many other mass market, specialty, and hobby retailers.
