ICv2 has learned that the proposed merger between two up-and-coming board game manufacturers, Eagle Games of Plainfield, Illinois and Uberplay of Issaquah, Washington, has been postponed until 2005. As ICv2 reported back in July (see 'Eagle Games & Uberplay to Merge'), the two board game companies had signed a letter of intent to merge. A spokesperson for Uberplay told ICv2 this week that the merger would not happen until early 2005, but did not give a reason for the delay.
