Mayfair Games is preparing to release the Amazonas board game in March.  Designed by Stefan Dorra, Amazonas is a lavishly illustrated and elaborate game that transports 3-4 players back to the 19th Century where they search the lush tropical jungles of Amazonas in search of rare plants and animals.  Players explore the twisting paths and labyrinthine waterways leading from one village to another, establishing outposts and attempting to carry out a secret directive.  Who will be the explorer who overcomes the dangers of the jungle and the tepid tropical waterways to earn fame and recognition?  It should take the average players (ages 10 and up) about 50 minutes to find out.
