Mongoose Publishing is adding the legendary RuneQuest roleplaying game to its growing list of licensed games.  While building on previous editions of the game (Chaosium, Avalon Hill), Mongoose has developed an all-new system for the game and subjected it to the longest and most open playtesting period that any Mongoose game has been through.

In mid-2006 Mongoose will release the RuneQuest Rulebook, a 100-page hardcover priced at $19.95, which will give players all the core rules they need to begin playing along with enough monsters to make games really interesting.  But Mongoose plans to expand its RuneQuest RPG quickly in 2006 by publishing a number of support titles including the RuneQuest Companion, RuneQuest Monsters, Legendary Heroes, as well as a sumptuous full color campaign setting book dedicated to the key RuneQuest settlement, Glorantha.
