Days of Wonder will release Ticket to Ride Marklin Edition in North America next April, after a Nurnberg International Toy Fair debut in February.  This third edition in the Ticket to Ride series features a tie-in with famed German model train manufacturer Marklin, utilizing authentic images of its most beautiful trains from past to present.  Marklin has been making model trains for over 100 of its 140 years, and is renowned for the quality of its metal toys.

New features in Ticket to Ride Marklin Edition, designed by author Alan R. Moon, include Passengers, who can be moved along the train routes claimed by players, and a new boardmap of the German rail system.  The game is for two to five players and takes 30-45 minutes to play.  No previous editions are required to play.

Days of Wonder reports that over 450,000 of the series have been sold.  We reported a year ago that sales were at 250,000 (see 'Ticket to Ride Hits 250k'), so the series has racked up sales of another 200,000 games in the last twelve months.
