We recently received a tip that discount game e-commerce site CCGArmory.com was an arm of, or related to, game distributor Alliance Game Distributors.  The evidence cited was mysterious.  The online retailer was based in Baltimore, but registered its domain through a domain wholesaler based in Canada.  There is not a single person's name anywhere on the site.  It offers a wide range of game products at substantial discounts from retail, implying good access to supply at low cost. 

So we checked.  Alliance is not related to the company in any way, according to Alliance's Mike Webb.  'If we were interested in retail, we'd still be doing the HMGS (Historial Miniature Game Society) shows, which were very successful for us,' he said.  'We stopped doing those to avoid any conflicts with the retailers that buy from us.'  CCGArmory and any other businesses from its address are also not a customer of Alliance, according to Webb, who also noted a number of products available on the site that are not distributed by Alliance.
