Hidden City Games has expansions for its Clout Fantasy Collectable Throwing Game planned for April and August.  The April release, Defenders of Undersea, introduces the merfolk faction which has a 'call' ability.  The set includes 51 merfolk chips as well as new chips for all of the five existing factions (centaurs, elves, dragons, goblins, and undead).  Illustrators for this set include Larry Elmore, Maxine Gadd, Anthony Waters, Pete Venters, Quinton Hoover, and others.

The expansion will be sold in three different Playing Stacks (MSRP $12.95), plus Booster Packs ($2.50 MSRP).  Each Playing Stack includes 15 faction chips, one of them exclusive to Playing Stacks, plus an exclusive neutral chip, a rulebook and a measurer.  The three Playing Stacks are Lure of the Banshees (with undead chips), Hobgoblin Havok (with goblins chips), and Call of the Sea, with merfolk chips.  Booster Packs include two random chips from the set.

The August expansion, Redbeard's Revenge, will introduce the pirate faction.

Hidden City Games separated from Alderac, which had been marketing and distributing Clout (see 'Interview with Peter Adkison'), in December because as a result of Alderac's downsizing it could no longer fully support Clout.  Programs initiated by Alderac, including organized play and demo teams, are being continued by Hidden City itself.  A new demo team program will be launched in March; a new organized play program will be launched in May.
