Paizo Publishing has announced that the venerable role-playing magazine Dungeon will celebrate its 20th Anniversary with the September, 2006 issue (#139), which will also mark the beginning of the tenure of James Jacobs as Editor-in-Chief.  First published by TSR in 1986 as a bi-monthly adventure gaming magazine, Dungeon (along with its sister publication Dragon) was acquired by Paizo Publications in 2002, and in 2003 Paizo switched Dungeon to a monthly format.

Erik Mona, Paizo Publishing Publisher and EIC of Dragon, is giving up the reins at Dungeon to James Jacob.  Jacob wrote his first article for Dungeon for issue #12, which was published way back in the 1980s. Jacobs has been a key member of the Dungeon editorial team for the past several years and has written and co-written a number of official Dungeons & Dragons books published by Wizards of the Coast including Fiend Folio, Dungeon Masters Guide II, and the recently published Fiendish Codex I: Hordes of the Abyss.
