Dav Pilkey takes 12 of the 20 slots with his Dog Man and Cat Kid books, including the six-book box set Dog Man: The Supa Epic Collection. We can expect more Pilkey next month, because his second Cat Kid book, Cat Kid Comic Club: Perspectives, came out on November 30 (after the end of this reporting period).
Then there’s a quartet of Baby-Sitters Club books, including one Baby-Sitters Little Sister title, and three of Raina Telgemeier’s original graphic novels. Her older works have been getting nudged off the chart lately; the last time she had three titles in the top 20 was last June.
The one non-Graphix title is Friends Forever, the third book in Shannon Hale and LeUyen Pham’s trilogy. This is the third month on the chart for the book, which was released on August 31. Their preview book, Best Friends, was one of last year’s top 20 (see "Full Year 2020 NPD BookScan – Top 20 Kids Graphic Novels").
