Toy Play has been awarded the master toy license for Warners' faux-anime property Xiaolin Showdown. The company is planning PVCs, action figures, and roleplay toys for launch in Spring 2006.
Two seasons of Xiaolin Showdown have aired on Kids WB; a third will premiere this fall. It has garnered good ratings for the 6-11 year-old crowd, capturing the #2 broadcast program rank for Kids 2-11.
Toy Play plans a five-character Xiaolin Showdown PVC Collectible Figure series at $5.99 each, to include five different figures, approximately 2.5' tall.
Action Figures
The Xiaolin Showdown 5.5' Articulated Action Figure series will include 4 5.5' heroes and one villain at a $6.99 MSRP. Each will have 10-14 points of articulation, and come with accessories.
A 20' flexible Dojo the Dragon figure will ship at a $9.99 MSRP; it's the perfect size for the articulated action figures to ride on.
Two roleplay toys are also planned. The Sword of the Storm is 21.5' long, will feature lights and sounds and a hinged blade, and will have a MSRP of $14.99. The Golden Tiger Claw is 18' long and will feature lights and sounds at a $14.99 MSRP.
