The Shin Chan anime series, which is released in the U.S. by FUNimation, has earned a spot on the Cartoon Network's popular Adult Swim block where it will air Monday through Thursday at 12:30 am (ET, PT) starting on Monday, April 9th. Shin Chan, which features the comic exploits of a five-year-old boy often described as 'Bart Simpson on steroids,' got a tryout on Adult Swim last August (see 'Crayon Shin Chan on Adult Swim') and evidently the irrepressible and irreverent spirit of the Shin Chan anime, which has aroused the ire of parents groups in Japan, is a good fit for Adult Swim.
