Vertigo announced a new Madame Xanadu series to be written by Matt Wagner (Grendel, Mage) and illustrated by Amy Hadley (Fool's Gold). The series will explore Madame Xanadu's origins by revisiting various legends and stories, her personal history and her relationship to the Phantom Stranger. Told as a gothic romance, the story promises to reveal why Madame Xanadu has connections to so many famous people throughout history.
