Universal Studios Consumer Products Group has licensed Mezco Toys to create 7-inch and 12-inch figures based on The Wolfman, which stars Benicio del Toro and Anthony Hopkins in a remake of the classic Universal horror film.  The $85 million production is set to debut on November 6th, and merchandise from the movie, which includes, in addition to the Mezco action figures, Halloween costumes from Rubie’s Costume Company, and t-shirts from Rock Rebel, will be available in the fall.

The Wolfman is a fairly close remake of Universal’s original 1941 The Wolfman, which starred Lon Chaney Jr.  Joe Johnston is directing the film, which also stars Emily Blunt, Hugo Weaving and Geraldine Chaplin.  The film features a score by Danny Elfman and makeup by Rick Baker, who created the werewolf look for An American Werewolf in London (1981).
