Archaia has named Stephen Christy its “Director of Development.”  Christy, who previously headed IP development for Devil’s Due Publishing, will be based in Los Angeles and will oversee Archaia’s development arm.  At Devil’s Due Christy oversaw nine development deals with Hollywood production companies over a 14-month period.  At Archaia Christy will perform a similar function -- developing the company’s titles outside of the comics realm without compromising the basic nature of the property.

Archaia has also hired Mel Caylo, who previously worked at Top Cow, as the company’s marketing manager.  Archaia is currently revamping its 2009 schedule, which will include new issues of Mouse Guard, The Killer, and Artesia, along with other titles not yet announced.
