Andrew Lincoln has been cast as lead character Rick Grimes in AMC’s The Walking Dead series, according to the Hollywood Reporter, based on the Robert Kirkman comic.  He joins Jon Benrthal, who’s cast as Shane.  A six-episode first series kicks off in October.
