The History Channel is teaming up with comic book legend Stan Lee to create a new “reality” series, Stan Lee’s Superhumans. The creator of Spider-Man and the X-Men will co-host the show with Daniel Browning Smith, who calls himself, “The World’s Most Flexible Man.” On the new show Lee and Browning Smith will spotlight people who have remarkable abilities that derive from genetic differences.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the History Channel will begin broadcasting Stan Lee’s Superhumans sometime in the third quarter along with five other new series. One of the other series, Brad Meltzer’s Decoded, also has a comic book connection. Ten episodes of the series in which the novelist and author of Identity Crisis, Green Arrow, and the JLA analyzes familiar symbols will air on the History Channel starting in Q4.
