Viz Media has acquired the right to shop the My Giant Friend, an action/comedy animated series, to potential television partners in the U.S.   The 52-episode computer-animated series was produced by South Korea’s SAMG and targets boys from 7-12 with its saga of a 12-year-old boy named Linus and his best friend, a six-foot-four-inch alien giant named Boom.

 

With its “save the aliens” message that emphasizes friendship and tolerance, My Giant Friend has found favor in a number of markets around the world. It already airs in France, Italy, Norway, Korea, the Czech Republic, Turkey, and Spain.
