Amy Adams (Julie & Julia) has been cast in the key role of Lois Lane in the Zack Snyder Superman reboot, according to the Los Angeles Times. Snyder informed Adams that she was his choice on Sunday from Paris, where he was promoting Sucker Punch (see “’Wimpy Kid’ KOs ‘Sucker Punch’”). 

Adams was not one of the five actresses Hollywood Reporter had tagged as possible choices for the role (see “The Search for Lois Lane”). 

Henry Cavill is playing the title role. Kevin Costner was recently announced as Jonathan Kent; Diane Lane will play Martha Kent (see “Diane Lane Will Be Supes’ Mom”).
