Marvel Studios will release Thor 2 on July 26, 2013, according to Deadline. Like the original, the sequel will star Chris Hemsworth in the title role; unlike the original, Kenneth Branagh won’t direct, although he will reportedly have a producer role.
The movie has performed solidly, with a worldwide gross of around $437 million.
