A release date has been set for The Wolverine, the sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine: July 28, 2013, according to blastr.  That’s going to require an ambitious production schedule.  A rewrite on the script was ordered last fall (see “’Wolverine’ Script Gets Rewrite”), after the film had been ready to go into production.  Producers must now feel they have a script that’s ready to go.

Other comic-based films slated for release next year include Iron Man 3, Man of Steel, and Thor 2.
