TV Guide examines the Yu-Gi-Oh craze in a cover article for the Feb. 1-8 issue of America's leading television magazine. Just as TV Guide has done with other hot properties like the Sopranos and the Simpsons, Yu-Gi-Oh gets a set of three different covers, each of which features a never-before-seen illustration of one of the series' top characters, Yami Yugi, Seto Kaiba, or Marik. The article itself will provide a sneak peek at what's ahead in the new TV season as well as developments in the hugely popular Yu-Gi-Oh collectible card game. No, the Yu-Gi-Oh craze has not reached the level of Pokemon at the height of the boom, but the Yu-Gi-Oh anime is the top-rated show among 9-14 year old boys nationwide -- and making the cover of TV Guide demonstrates that the property has already achieved a considerable level of mainstream success.
