Screen Daily has reported that C-2 Pictures, producers of major films including genre pictures Terminator 2, Terminator 3, Total Recall, and Stargate, is working on a major fantasy trilogy titled Evermere, described as 'Lord of the Rings meets Harry Potter.'  It was written by David Goyer (who wrote Blade I and II, and who's writing the next Batman film, see 'David Goyer To Write Batman Film') and James Robinson (who wrote the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen film and is writing the live action Akira, see 'James Robinson To Write Live Action Akira', and a new Sherlock Holmes film, see 'James Robinson To Pen New Holmes Film').  The story concerns a 17-year-old orphan who travels to an alternate universe (Evermere) to battle the uncle who has usurped his throne.  The three films will not all be shot at the same time a la LOTR.
