Johnny Knoxville and Tony Shalhoub have been cast as voice actors for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, according to Deadline. So Leonardo will sound like he’s from Jackass, and Splinter will sound like Monk.
Relative unknown Pete Ploszek played the physical part of Leonardo for filming, and Danny Woodburn (Seinfeld) played Splinter. Apparently the actors were only contracted to physically perform the costumed roles. With the movie slated for August 8th release, that will be some pretty quick audio work. I guess we know why we didn’t hear much from the turtles or their sensei in the first trailer (see "First 'TMNT' Trailer").
