Hot on the heels of the first trailer and news of a series pick-up (see "First 'Gotham' Trailer") comes this “First Look” featurette narrated by Gotham showrunner Bruno Heller and director/executive producer Danny Cannon.
 
"This is not the comic book world.  This is the real world, heightened.  It’s a mythic world.  It is a dramatic world full of adventure and color and sex and violence and fun," Heller says at one point.
 
"It is the good old-fashioned cop show, in the most dangerous, vivid world imaginable," said Cannon.

"We’re seeing people transform themselves into these larger-than-life characters and we’re also solving the puzzle of how they came to be," Heller said, while name-dropping new villain names not previously announced for the series, including the Joker and Scarecrow.

The show will air Monday nights at 8 p.m. (EST).
