Michael Egan, who sued X-Men director Bryan Singer in April alleging that he’d abused him before he turned 18 (see “Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Targets ‘X-Men’ Director”), has apparently filed to withdraw the complaint, according to Hollywood Reporter. This is only the latest case Egan has dropped; he’s previously dropped cases against the other three defendants.
Singer had vehemently denied the allegations (see “Bryan Singer Responds to Lawsuit Allegations”).
Egan has apparently also split from his attorney, Jeff Herman, who achieved a measure of fame by bringing forward the men who accused Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash of abuse (all complaints were dismissed because of the statute of limitations). Egan also filed protesting Herman’s request to leave the case.
