John Layman (Chew, Detective Comics) is the latest high profile creator to participate in the 48-page anniversary issue of Valiant Comics’ Archer & Armstrong #25.  Layman contributes a story entitled "Immortal Combat" with art by Ramon Villalobos to the oversize issue featuring the lighthearted superhero buddy team, which is due out in stores on October 29th. 
 

The special 25th anniversary issue also includes "Back to the Beginning" by Fred Van Lente and Clayton Henry, a prelude to November’s Archer & Armstrong: The One Percent by Ray Fawkes and Andy Kuhn, "Armstrong in Forever and a Day" by Justin Jordan and Rafer Roberts, "Happy Returns" by Joey Esposito and Joe Eisma, "Armstrong’s First Drink" by Donny Cates, Eliot Rahal, and Khari Evans, and "The Official Archer and Armstrong Drinking Game" by Donny Cates, Eliot Rahal, and Juan Doe.
 
Valiant’s Archer & Armstrong, which was nominated for 3 Harvey Awards this year, is one of three Valiant properties currently in development for the big screen (see "'Archer & Armstrong' Movie").
