Rhonda Becker of The Gamers Den in Cambridge, Minnesota comments on a Target store selling the latest Magic: The Gathering release, Fate Reforged, a day before the official release date (see "Target Store Says 'Magic' Release Dates Don't Apply").
I enjoyed reading the article on Target breaking street dates regarding Magic: The Gathering--Fate Reforged as it really hurts us independent retailers, especially when we are held to a standard but mass market isn't. However I had to laugh at the vendor, Excell, claiming it was an isolated incident. Retailers nationwide report the breaking of street dates every release directly to Wizards of the Coast. Maybe now that it's getting publicity the situation will improve. Thank you for reporting on it.
