Extermination Expansion
The second expansion set and third wave of figures for Mantic Games’ table-top miniatures game Mars Attacks will be releasing later this month.  This wave promises even more wacky weirdness, including giant mutant bugs and a Martian Giant Robot.

The core of the new wave is the Mars Attacks:  Extermination Expansion.  This boxed set includes 27 plastic figures, featuring Science Division, the Tiger Corps, and two giant bugs, as well as two new exclusive human heroes, Craig and Tunga.  Also included is a comic-book sized rulebook with ten new scenarios and rules for all of the miniatures in Wave III. MSRP is $64.99. As an expansion set, players will need a copy of the basic Mars Attacks set.

Wave III includes six other supporting miniature sets:

The first supporting set is the 177mm tall Martian Giant Robot.  This multi-part model kit comes with a number of weapon and pilot options, including a “shrink ray” complete with miniaturized human soldiers.  MSRP is $39.99.

The Martian forces can now be led by the V.I.M. or “Very Important Martian”, supported by a flag bearer and a human female. MSRP is $19.99.

Martian forces are also reinforced by the terrifying Martian Science Division, which uses its knowledge of science to advance the Martian cause and go into battle with the most advanced weapons and gadgets.  MSRP is $24.99.

The Science Division has also found a way to create enormous mutated versions of Earth’s fauna, fielding the Giant Mutant Ant and Giant Mutant Spider to destroy the Earth’s defenders. MSRP is $19.99 each.

Fortunately for humankind, “General” Jed Jaret is here to lead the Novas Vira’s most elite forces:  the Tiger Corps.  These bounty hunters are long-time foes of the Martian Empire, and have been hired permanently by Novas Vira. MSRP is $24.99.

These kits are all ready to use out of the box, and include unpainted colored plastic models.

The first expansion, Mars Attacks:  Humanity Resists was released as part of Wave II in 2014 (see “‘Mars Attacks’ Miniatures Game Expansions”).
