Justice League: Gods & Men--Batman Cover
Comic-Con News:  At the San Diego Comic-Con DC Comics’ Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns revealed his plans for a series of six October-shipping one-shot comics that will spin out from Johns’ current Darkseid War story arc.  The six single issues will each focus on one key character in the Darkseid War and follows their individual conflicts against the backdrop of a “universal Armageddon” with Darkseid squaring off against the Anti-Monitor.

In the Batman one-shot in the Justice League: Gods and Men series the Dark Knight is armed with the immense powers of the Mobius Chair, and, taking on the role of Metreon, the caped crusader aims to make Gotham a “crime-free” zone.

On the other hand Superman has been corrupted by the weird energies of Apokolips’ fire pits, and his Justice League: Gods and Men one-shot is all about changing him from the nasty angry brute that he has become back into the incorruptible justice-loving Man of Steel.

Green Lantern, Lex Luthor, The Flash, and Shazam also receive Justice Legaue: Gods and Men one-shots in which they face equally challenging situations as they attempt to deal with nasty fallout from the Darkseid War.
