Modiphius Entertainment will release Dead Blue Sea, the second Zone Compendium for its post-apocalyptic role-playing game, Mutant: Year Zero, on October 1.

The new sourcebook presents rules and adventures set in the dangerous waters of the world’s seas and oceans, featuring "Cage Island," the home of mutant slavers, and the "Oilfields of the Ancients" and their strange defenders.  Also included are new mutant powers, new monsters, maritime artifacts, and rules for travel at sea.  MSRP is $18.99.

In Mutant: Year Zero, the players take on the role of mutated survivors of a global apocalypse, living in "the Ark"--an isolated community of mutant humans--in an otherwise hostile and unknown world.  Outside of the Ark are the "Zones"--unexplored wastelands full of lost tech, precious supplies, and hostile monsters and mutants.

The first Zones for the game were the cities of London and New York, and the game setting was expanded with Zone Compendium 1: Lair of the Saurians, which described a swampy region that was home to a mysterious oracle.
